• Description:  In this session, an instructional coach from the Delaware PBS Project and a school-level practitioner will share information about the purposes of universal SEB screening as an essential feature of a multi-tiered system of support. Participants will be provided with strategies to analyze screener data, with an emphasis on informing the development and delivery of Tier 1 foundational and classroom practices. Real examples of using screener data to improve Tier 1 SEB practices will be provided.

A School and Community Approach to Building Mental Health Literacy through Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA)

• Description: This presentation introduces YMHFA as a Tier 1 evidence-based approach that increases adult mental health literacy and supports the identification of and response to youth struggling with mental health challenges. Administrators and educators will have the opportunity to learn more about mental health literacy and how increasing the number of adults trained in YMHFA can support initiatives like Regulation 508 and House Bill 301. Participants will learn about the current YMHFA initiatives in Delaware, including both school and community partnerships, and how they can support YMHFA initiatives within their own districts or schools.
