The DDRT is designed to help schools analyze their office discipline referral rates per month for the current school year. The referral data is also compared to the previous years as well as the national and state averages for referral rates.

Each year the Delaware Positive Behavior Support Project provides schools with updated Excel templates to support teams in tracking office discipline data in ways that are useful to program planning. The templates include instructions for schools to enter previous years’ data and to enter this year’s data.  One DDRT is for schools that want to enter 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 data (2 year), and the other is for schools that want to enter back from 2020-2021 through 2023-2024 (4 year).  We encourage schools to utilize all the tabs including the triangle graph (referrals by student), cost-benefit analysis, and comparison to national & state averages per grade level.

We hope that the DDRT provides a quick way to capture summary data for use at the team and school-wide levels. In order to support the DDRT completion process, there is a tutorial that provides step by step instructions for how to complete the template. The templates and the tutorial can be found below.

If a school or district needs help with entering data we are more than happy to help! Questions about the templates, the tutorial or data submissions can be sent to Sarah or your District Coach(es).

Cost Benefit Analysis Worksheet This tab within the DDRT template allows teams to determine the amount of time regained or lost (for students and administrators) for referrals between the current and the previous year. The directions for using the cost-benefit tab are included in the document Teams can use this sheet to action plan based on the time regained or lost due to referrals. For example, if time was regained after implementing a certain initiative this year, it would indicate that this initiative was effective and should be continued.
